Panama City, Fla. – The Florida Department of Health in Bay County (DOH-Bay) is providing the intradermal JYNNEOS vaccine for smallpox/monkeypox by appointment only to people ages 18 and older with certain risk factors. To schedule an appointment people should call 850-872-4455. 

Starting September 1, the vaccine will be available on Thursdays at DOH-Bay, 597 W 11th Street, Panama City. 

Please note vaccine is limited at this time. If there are no appointments available, please checkback as DOH-Bay will offer new appointments as vaccine becomes available. 

The hepatitis A and meningococcal disease vaccine is also available at no cost to those at highrisk and may be received during the same appointment. 

Human-to-human transmission generally requires prolonged, face-to-face contact, direct contactwith lesion materials, or indirect contact with lesion materials through contaminated items, such as contaminated clothing.
