At 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 3, a caller complained that cars “blew through” the new stop signs on High Street.

At 8:35 p.m. police were asked to move youths along from the Howe Street playground. The youths were said to be causing a disturbance.

At 1:25 p.m. on Thursday a vehicle hit a pole on Leslie Road and needed to be towed after the crash.

At 3:40 p.m. the possibility of a missing swimmer was reported on Crane Beach. The swimmer was thought to have attempted a crossing to Plum Islamd.

Around 5 p.m., there was a medical call from a boat returning to the yacht club. A man, 28, had a fish hook stuck in his hand and was said to have lost feeling there.

At 7:25 p.m., the MBTA called dispatch to say indicators were showing gates stuck in the down position on Topsfield Road. Those gates were fine but an update suggested looking at the Liberty Street gates. Those ones had a problem.

Around 10:55 a.m. on Friday, there was a crash near the Bruni Marketplace on Essex Road.

Around 6:10 p.m. a caller was worried about a dog tied up on the front lawn of a Linebrook Road house. The caller felt it was “cruel and unusual due to the heat,” the dispatcher relayed. However, the dog was gone when police arrived.

At 7:45 p.m. a man in his 50s was said to be stumbling around the Shaw’s lot. He was thought to be intoxicated.

At 8:25 p.m., an intoxicated woman was said to need assistance at Castle HIll.

At 8:30 p.m., there was a call about a past accident in Rowley. A person was now parked at the Clam Box and reporting an injury.

On Sunday around 1:45 p.m., a number of people were said to be illegally digging for clams at the end of Crane Beach. Police shouted a warning at them from the harbor patrol boat.

At 5 p.m., a reveler was said to be suffering heat exhaustion at the Roaring Twenties shindig at Castle Hill.

Around 12:05 p.m. on Monday, a child passed out, possibly due to the heat, also at Castle Hill.

At 2 p.m., there was a minor accident in the Shaw’s lot. A number of children were said to be in one of the vehicles.

Around 12:25 p.m., Rowley issued a BOLO for a man in his late 70s. Rowley police said he drove off and wanted him stopped for a well-being check. The BOLO was canceled a couple of moments later.
