A security company which has serviced the needs of the Dolphin Coast community for more than 20 years, IPSS Electronic Security has claimed The North Coast Courier Best of Ballito Readers’ Choice Award for Best Security Company.
It boasts a plethora of camera domes installed around the Ballito and Salt Rock areas since 2007 to watch over these communities from above.
IPSS Electronic Security hopes to expand its surveillance network by boosting it with further investment.
Cameras are monitored live via IPSS Security’s South African Intruder Detection Services Association-approved (SAIDSA) control centre.
It is the only Ballito-based security company with a SAIDSA approved control centre.
Its 24-hour control room is the most technologically advanced of its kind in the area.
“We pride ourselves on our fast response time. Our state-of-the-art control center never sleeps, so that our clients can,” said IPSS Electronic Security’s chief executive officer, Frank Labidi.
Over the past few years the South African security industry has reached a level where most of the major role players in the industry are large international companies.
“While acquisitions have shrunk the market to a large extent nationally, they have at the same time opened up opportunities for us to operate at a more personal level of service,” Labidi said.
The company also has the largest fleet of armed reaction vehicles, along with an intimate knowledge of, and prominent footprint, within the greater North Coast area. The fleet is also SAIDSA approved.
“We have emerged as the most significant privately-owned security company on the Dolphin Coast and have been seeing to the protection of the community we serve since 1985,” Labidi said.
The company also offers 24-hour monitoring and armed response, alarm installation and repair service, physical guarding and VIP protection, electric fence and access control installation, as well as security consulting and special events.
In 2003 the company was awarded SAIDSA approval for its 24-hour control center and armed reaction units.
In 2007, Labidi was elected secretary of SAIDSA KZN, and in 2015 the company became one of the very few which were awarded SAIDSA approval for all categories, including alarm installation, alarm monitoring, armed reaction, CCTV installation, CCTV monitoring and electric fence installation.
