A Golden Gate man was found guilty of molesting a child following a 3-day trial.
The State Attorney’s Office said Jeyber Leonel Monje Mejia was arrested after a child told an adult that he was text messaging her to tell her she was attractive and to ask her for photos.
The child also told the adult Monje Mejia had molested her before.
He was arrested at RSW by the Lee County Port Authority Police Department.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on June 29.
