Car fails to stop after striking dog: Gates Mills Police Blotter - cleveland.com

A resident reported at 10 p.m. April 24 that the family dog had been struck in the roadway by a vehicle that did not stop. The dog had run off, but was later found by its owner and appeared to be OK.

Officers did not locate the vehicle that struck the dog.

A resident said April 17 that a woman was seen on her doorbell camera removing a package from her porch. Responding officers confirmed that the package had been delivered to the wrong home and that the neighbor was retrieving it.

Warrant served: Chagrin River Road

A Cleveland woman, 39, was transported to the police station April 20 after another agency confirmed that she had an active warrant for driving under suspension. She was taken to the municipal court to pay her fine.

Officers responded to a home April 21 for a report of an active panic alarm. They confirmed that everything was OK and that the alarm had malfunctioned due to its battery being low.

Officers responded to a home around 11 p.m. April 19 for a report of an unknown person ringing the doorbell. They confirmed that the woman was a home healthcare worker who was at the wrong house.

A resident had officers respond to his property April 22 because he was concerned that a tree removal company was cutting down a tree that was close to his home. It was found that the company was not causing any violations.
