UFC Fight Night 206 takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card streams on ESPN+.
In the main event, former women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm (14-5 MMA, 7-5 UFC) takes on Ketlen Vieira (12-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC). In the co-feature, Michel Pereira (27-11 MMA, 5-2 UFC) meets Santiago Ponzinibbio (28-5 MMA, 10-4 UFC) at welterweight.

Round 1 – They start off pretty quickly exchanging punches in the center of the cage. Both fighters land punches and Hughes looks to clinch and presses Reed against the cage. Hughes gets both underhooks, but Reed prevents the takedown attempt and fires off a couple of knees to the body before separating. Reed lands a side kick to the body and Hughes responds with punches. Another exchange of punches follows. A moment later, Reed charges forward with a combination and Hughes lands a counter before clinching again. This time Hughes gets her hands locked and completes a takedown. Reed stays active from her back with punches as Hughes looks to pass the guard while landing a few punches from the top. Hughes stands up and throws a kick before Reed gets back to her feet. Hughes doesn’t give her any space and immediately goes back in for the body lock. Both looks for short strikes along the fence until the round ends. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Hughes.
Round 2 – Reed immediately looks for punches but Hughes goes right back in for the clinch and gets the fight to the ground in a few seconds. Hughes works from side control. Reed locks up the left arm of Hughes with her legs, halting her opponent’s offense. Hughes is able to get her arm free and gets back to working from the top position, landing a few short strikes. Reed gets back to guard as Hughes stays heavy on top. Hughes tries to pass, but opts to stand up momentarily. After landing a kick to the legs, she goes back down to the mat to retake top position in half guard. Hughes quickly passes to full mount, and postures up to land a few strikes while Reed tries to hold on to prevent damage until the round concludes. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 Hughes.
Round 3 – Hughes keeps the pressure high and gets the fight back to the canvas with a nice takedown just 20 seconds into the round. From side control, Hughes has to fight off a choke attempt from Reed. The position was never there to be a threat for a finish, but stalled the progression of Hughes more than anything. She gets her head free after a few seconds and continues controlling Reed. Hughes looks to get to full mount but Reed prevents it. Hughes then goes for an arm triangle submission, but it’s not there either. A moment later, Hughes gets to full mount and begins landing big strikes from the top. The referee steps in closer and the elbows continue to land. Reed tries to shake Hughes off one last time but is unsuccessful and the referee stops the fight after more elbows land clean. Fantastic performance for Hughes.

Round 1 – They waste little time getting after it and exchange punches. Hooper looks for the takedown, but can’t quite get it. They end up clinched against the fence, jockeying for position. They end up separating and resume striking in the center of the cage. Colares throws and lands a hard kick to the body. Hooper responds with a kick of his own, but Colares lands another. Hooper then quickly closes in and jumps on the back of Colaes, nearly isolating an arm as well. The wild scramble continues and Colares grabs the cage to prevent Hooper from advancing. Referee Mark Smith pauses the action and gives Colares a warning. They get right back to it, Hooper charges forward with a punch and gets a takedown. Hooper remains aggressive with his transitions looking for submissions as they scramble. Leg locks and choke attempts are threatened, but Colares is able to keep moving and escape them. Hooper lands strikes from the top as they continue to fight for position. Colares gets back to his feet momentarily, but they go right back to the mat as Hooper keeps the pressure high. Hooper gets to full mount and locks in a choke attempt. It appears deep, but Colares gives a thumbs up. He gets out and they return to the feet a few seconds later. Hooper still doesn’t let up and lets the punches fly until the horn sounds. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Hooper.
Round 2 – They touch gloves and Hooper puts together a combination of punches followed by a clinch. Colares tries to reverse and get a hip toss, but Hooper is wise to it and stays on top as they go to the ground. Colares is able to escape and take the top position, but Hooper is quick to isolate a leg and threaten a kneebar. Colares defends it well and they get back to the feet, but remain clinched with Hooper controlling the position. Hooper pulls guard a moment later and locks his hands behind the back of Colares. A wild scramble follows, with Hooper grabbing the legs of Colares as he tries to get from bottom position. Colares is able to stay on top and ends up catching Hooper in a crucifix. He lands a couple of strikes here, but Hooper is quick to escape and isolate an arm for a submission attempt. The scrambles continue, Colares takes the top momentarily and lands a few strikes, but Hooper continues to move, threatens a leg lock and regains top position. Hooper lands a couple of strikes from the top before the round ends. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Hooper.
Round 3 – They touch gloves and throw a kick at the same time. Hooper presses forward for the clinch and gets the fight to the ground quickly. Hooper takes top position, but Colares gets back up to his feet. Hooper keeps hold of a leg and uses it to complete another takedown. Hooper isolates an arm and thinks about a submission, but opts to throw punches and elbows. Colares tries to escape the position, but Hooper stays with it and keeps punching. Colares rolls to escape, but almost gets flattened out. Colares tries to roll again, but Hooper locks in a rear-naked choke. The submission isn’t there, and Hooper goes back to heavy punches from the back of Colares, who is face down on the canvas. The referee has seen enough and calls a stop to the fight. What a statement for Hooper.

Round 1 – They touch gloves to get it started and begin looking for the range. Martinez opens up with a leg kick, and a second soon follows. Morales pumps out the left jab and Martinez responds with another low kick. Morales lands a left hand as Martinez attempts to kick. Martinez throws a hard kick to the body but Morales sees it coming and blocks it. A well-timed right hand catches Morales as he moves forward. Martinez lands a front kick up the middle to the body. Forward pressure from Martinez forces Morales to circle on the outside close to the fence. Martinez continues to lead with low licks. Morales then returns to the center and lets his hands go with a nice combination of punches. Martinez resets and goes back to the leg kick. Morales misses with a combination as Martinez darts away from danger. Martinez then looks for a head kick but just misses the mark. Morales goes to the body with a punch and Martinez responds with another leg kick. Morales tries to catch it this time, which signals his leg may be feeling the effects of the kicks. Round 2 – They immediately get back to exchanging strikes after the round begins. Martinez continues with the kicks while Morales looks to land punches. Inside and outside kicks find the mark for Martinez and the redness is apparent on the legs of Morales. Martinez continues to lead the action as Morales circles on the outside. Another leg kick finds the mark. Morales charges forward with a combination of punches but Martinez is able to counter with a punch of his own while evading big damage. Another inside leg kick lands for Martinez. Morales starts controlling the center and moving forward, looking to land punches. Martinez offers a knee up the middle that makes contact, but Morales was able to move just enough to lessen the damage. Martinez lands another kick. Morales looks for punches and he charges forward again, but is met with a nice combo from Martinez. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Martinez.
Round 3 – Martinez lands a head kick after a few moments of circling around the cage. A front kick to the body of Morales follows a moment later. Morales lands a punch as he darts forward but is met with a counter. A high kick from Martinez is blocked. Morales goes to the body with a punch. Martinez lands a right hand and a left a moment later. Morales keeps moving forward, but struggles to land clean on Martinez. They exchange punches in the center. Martinez lands an outside leg kick and Morales answers with punches. Morales continues to press the action and lands a nice right hand. A front kick from Martinez gets through. Two big right hands miss from Morales. Martinez changes levels and gets a takedown with just under a minute remaining. Morales gets back to his feet, but Martinez keeps the clinch and eventually lifts and slams Morales to the canvas. Martinez loses top position from a nice reversal, but Morales is unable to mount any offense before the fight concludes. Medic resets and comes back with a high kick. Morales blocks it and offers a punch. Another high kick from Medic is brushed away by Morales, who misses with one of his own a moment later. Medic looks for a combination but is countered clean by Morales. Another left hand lands for Morales. Medic responds with an inside leg kick. Morales finds home for a right hand but the high kick that follows was blocked. Medic moves forward but Morales lands a nice combination of punches ending with an inside leg kick. Medic lands a nice kick to the body. Both just miss with big punches. They trade inside leg kicks. Two punches from Morales land. A kick from Morales goes a little low, but Medic says he is good to continue without pausing. Morales rips a couple of punches to the body. A right hand from Medic misses as Morales charges forward, but the second right attempt catches Morales nicely before the round ends. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Medic.
Round 2 – Medic gets back to controlling the center, offering a front kick to the body. An inside leg kick soon follows. A nice 1-2 combination with a leg kick lands for Medic. Morales lands a nice kick to the body. Medic fires off a few right jabs and then the inside leg kick. Another front kick to the body from Medic, but Morales lands a hard punch in response. Medic puts together a quick combination and then lands a few kicks. Morales lands a nice punch. Medic starts to let his hands go a little more frequently and a beautiful left hand gets around Morales’ defense. Medic fires off another one, causing Morales to buckle. Morales pops up and tries to counter, but Medic swarms and unleashes a series of punches. Morales gets caught clean and drops to the canvas. Before Medic can follow up for more punches, the referee calls a stop to the fight. Strong finish for Medic.

Round 1 – Almeida immediately offers a front kick to the face of Porter and dips in for a takedown attempt. After a moment of securing body lock, Almeida lifts and slams Porter to the canvas. Almeida winds up in half guard and begins looking to create space to land punches as Porter tries to keep hold from the bottom. Almeida gets a few punches off before focusing on keeping position. A few seconds later, Almeida rains down a series of hammerfists. Porter seems to remain calm as he tries to work his way back to his feet. Almeida gets the legs and pulls Porter back to flat on the canvas. A few more punches land. Almeida gets full mount and Porter turns, giving up his back. Almeida grabs the rear-naked choke and sinks it in. Porter has no other option but to tap. That was a flawless performance for Almeida.

Round 1 – They touch gloves and Holmes looks for the left jab. Amedovski lands punches in response. Holmes circles on the outside and lands an outside leg kick. Out of nowhere, Holmes lands a hard right knee to the chin that drops Amedovski. Referee Herb Dean rushes in and thinks about stopping the fight, but allows Amedovski the chance to recover. Holmes takes the back and slaps on a rear-naked choke. It’s deep and Amedovski taps. An incredible win for Holmes in the first round.

Round 1 – They touch gloves and Park opens with an inside leg kick. Anders lands a pair of left hands before changing levels and clinching. With his back against the cage, Park lands a knee to the body and then grabs a front headlock. He doesn’t crank for the guillotine choke, but Anders’ movement is stopped. A knee goes south and the action is paused. Anders doesn’t want time to recover and they get back to the action. Anders charges with a punch and then clinches. Park tries for a trip reversal but Anders keeps his footing. Park lands a couple of knees to the body in the clinch. Anders separates and lets his hands go quickly before clinching again. They break apart, and Park lands a nice leg kick. Another inside leg kick from Park scores. Anders lands a punch but eats a couple of counter punches from Park. Anders keeps pressing forward and grabs a hold of another single leg attempt. Park counters with the front headlock again, but this time Anders is able to dip down and get a takedown. Park gets to his feet pretty quickly and Anders throws a head kick on the way up. Park lands a few punches before the round ends. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 Anders.
Round 2 – Park slaps with an inside leg kick and a second shortly after. A couple of punches land for Park a moment later. Anders presses forward and charges in for a takedown. He gets the fight to the ground, but Park works his way back up quickly. They start to exchange heavy punches. Anders lands a nice left but is answered by Park. Anders keeps the forward pressure going and clinches. Park is able to break free and return to the center. They exchange punches again before Anders clinches again. Anders looks for a knee in the clinch but it goes low and Park crashes to the mat in agony. After a brief pause and a warning to both fighters from the referee, the action resumes. Anders doubles up the left hand and tries to clinch, but Park shakes him off. An inside leg kick lands for Park, sparking an exchange of punches. Anders gets a hold of Park and presses him against the cage. They separate a moment later after Anders is unable to find the takedown. They trade punches in the center and Anders goes right back in for the clinch. This time he gets a takedown, but once on the ground, Park is able to reverse position. Anders gets back to his feet, as Park holds a headlock. Anders rolls through as the round comes to a close. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Anders.
Round 3 – The final round starts with Park pressing forward. They trade punches and Anders threatens a takedown with a level change. Park shakes it off and keeps his punches flying. Anders dips down again, but is once again brushed away. Park continues to press forward. Another clinch attempt is shucked away by Park. A series of punches land for Park. Anders looks to clinch to slow down the action. Park breaks free again. Anders lands a nice left hand and Park answers with a couple of punches of his own. Anders clinches again and Park breaks free. They’re trading punches often now. Both appear to land clean shots, but Park perhaps got the better of the exchange. Once again, Anders goes for the legs but Park breaks free. They trade leg kicks and then punches upstairs. The striking exchanges continue as the final minute approaches. Anders nearly gets hold of Park’s leg, but can’t complete the takedown attempt. Park begins ramping up the pressure and lands a nice combination. They trade until the horn, with Park getting the better of the final sequences. MMA Junkie scores the third for Park, but the fight goes to Anders with a score of 29-28.

Round 1 – Ricci opens up with a front kick and Viana responds with one of her own. Viana jumps on the neck of Ricci as she looks for a takedown, threatening a guillotine and they go to the ground. Ricci is able to work free and stands up while Viana remains on the ground. After a few strikes from the position, Ricci opts to have the referee stand Viana up. They exchange punches and kicks before Ricci closes in for a takedown. Once again, Viana jumps on the neck, but Ricci is able to drop down and pop her head out, but remains in Viana’s guard. Viana is active here, working to isolate an arm and hunt for submissions. Ricci keeps her arms close though, and waits for the chance to offer a few short punches from the top. Viana’s submission and sweep threats continue in the closing seconds, but Ricci stands back up before the horn sounds. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Viana.
Round 2 – The round begins with exchanges of punches from Ricci and kicks from Viana. They both throw kicks at the same time, clashing shins, then trade punches upstairs. Viana charges forward with a combination but Ricci evades. Viana lands a nice combination and tries to grab Ricci’s arm. A spinning back fist finds the mark for Viana. They trade punches again. Ricci charges forward with a takedown attempt and gets the fight to the ground. Ricci stands up while Viana stays down. Viana lands a couple of kicks to the knees of Ricci from her back. Ricci decides to go back down and ends up in Viana’s guard. Ricci didn’t like it and stands back up. Viana lands a couple more kicks from her back, but the referee stands her up a moment later. Ricci completes another takedown before the round ends. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Ricci.
Round 3 – They trade early but Ricci wants to get the fight back to the ground. She darts in to clinch but Viana keeps it standing and they separate. Strikes from Ricci are offered, but they’re just out of range. She puts together two more punches, with the second one landing. Ricci then shoots in for another takedown and after dealing with Viana’s threat on the neck, she gets her down again. Back in the up/down position, Viana looks to kick at the legs of Ricci before she is stood up by the referee. Ricci charges forward with punches. Just as Viana offers punches in response, Ricci is already in on her hips and gets a big takedown. Not much happens in guard here and we’re back to the up/down position yet again. Viana seems comfortable in this spot, kicking at the legs of Ricci. Kicks from the top land for Ricci as well, and this is where the fight ends. Round 1 – They calmly touch gloves in the center and Njokuani gets things started with a pair of front kicks. Njokuani then goes to a couple of leg kicks. Todorovic looks for the takedown but is sprawled beautifully by Njokuani. As Todorovic tries to get back up, Njokuani slaps on a D’Arce choke. He bails on it after a few seconds as he feels Todorovic working free. Todorovic scrambles and ends up on the back on Njokuani as they rise back to their feet. Todorovic keeps with the position, and drags Njokuani back down. Njokuani pops back up and the sequence repeats. Njokuani gets back to his feet again and is able to get an overhook and face Todorovic. They continue to wrestle for position with Todorovic keeping the pressure high. Njokuani sprawls a takedown attempt and gives a knee on the exit. They clinch again a second later but this time Njokuani lands a couple of nice knees to the body. As they work for position in the clinch, Njokuani creates just enough space to land a vicious elbow to the head and Todorovic crumbles to the canvas. No follow up shots are needed. What a finish!

Round 1 – They touch gloves and begin feeling each other out. Ponzinibbio controls the center of the cage as Pereira circles on the outside. Pereira charges forward with a combination of punches, but gets poked accidentally by Ponzinibbio. The fight is paused and referee Herb Dean issues a hard warning. They get back to it and Pereira looks to land punches. Ponzinibbio lands a nice leg kick. A nice overhand right from Pereira finds the mark. Ponzinibbio still presses forward as Pereira circles. A jumping knee is threatened by Pereira but he doesn’t commit to it. Pereira charges forward for a takedown that results in a brief clinch. Ponzinibbio returns to pressing forward. A pair of front kicks are offered by Pereira. A right hand misses for Pereira and Ponzinibbio lands a punch. Ponzinibbio evades a combination and strikes of his own miss as well. Pereira lands a quick leg kick. Ponzinibbio’s head kick attempt is blocked. Pereira lands a right hand behind the ear that appears to stun Ponzinibbio momentarily. Ponzinibbio resets and lands a solid inside leg kick followed by a kick to the body. Pereira responds with punches. They trade punches before the round ends. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Pereira.
Round 2 – They touch gloves in the center. Pereira lands a nice two-punch combo. A front kick to the body by Pereira is answered with a left hand by Ponzinibbio. A nice exchange soon follows. Pereira charges forward with a kick to the body followed by punches. Ponzinibbio looks for the right hand but Pereira just slips it. Pereira loads up for a big right hand but completely misses. They try left hooks at the same time, but Pereira’s lands first. Ponzinibbio jabs to the body. Punching exchanges begin to heat up now in the center of the cage. Both men land clean. Ponzinibbio lands a hard punch that gets Pereira’s attention and begins to turn up the pressure. Pereira is starting to wear some damage as he circles on the outside. The exchanges continue, with Pereira landing punches and leg kicks. Ponzinibbio counters and shoots for a takedown. He gets Pereira down for a second and the round ends as they clinch against the fence. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Ponzinibbio.
Round 3 – One last glove touch to start the last round. Pereira takes charge early and fires off a few punches. A big right hand lands for Pereira. Ponzinibbio looks to answer but another right hand lands clean from Pereira. Ponzinibbio goes to the body with a punch and then finds a home for a left hand upstairs. A Ponzinibbio head kick is blocked. They exchange punches. Ponzinibbio starts working the left jab and outside leg kick. Pereira loads up for a big right hand but it misses. Ponzinibbio lands a hard outside leg kick. They take turns moving forward as they trade strikes. The pace is fast as its been all fight. Both are swinging with big punches, but Ponzinibbio is a little more calculated. They continue to trade punches. A nice front kick for Pereira lands. Both continue to offer punches. It’s pretty much a wild brawl at this point, both are throwing and landing hard punches. Ponzinibbio’s strikes seem to be a little more accurate. They continue to trade until the final horn sounds. What a way to end this one. MMA Junkie scores the close round 10-9 for Ponzinibbio, giving him the fight 29-28.
Result: Michel Pereira def. Round 1 – The main event begins with a touch of gloves. Holm takes the center and lands an outside leg kick for the first strike of the bout. Vieira responds with a kick of her own. A moment later, they clinch against the fence. Holm fights for position and lands a couple of short knees to the inside of Vieira’s legs. Vieira lands a couple of short punches from the clinch. Vieira tries for a whizzer kick takedown, but Holm avoids it. After pressing Vieira against the cage, Holm switches to a single leg, but bails on it and goes back to the clinch. Vieira nearly gets the trip this time, but they both end up on the canvas for a moment. The round ends in the clinch against the cage. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Holm.
Round 2 – Holm opens the round with an outside leg kick and a side kick to the body. Vieira goes high with a kick and gets some of it. Vieira charges forward with a quick punching combination. They trade leg kicks. Holm adds another outside leg kick and a side kick a moment later. Vieira lands a right hand over the top as Holm goes to a side kick. Vieira gets a nice judo throw on Holm and begins working from top position on the ground. Holm doesn’t rest here though, and is quick to get back to her feet. They separate after a short clinch and return to the center. Holm goes for a high kick but misses the mark. Holm gets in on the hips with a takedown attempt but Vieria defends well and threatens a guillotine choke. Holm tries to change position again and Vieria finds an opportunity to slap on a standing choke. It’s a deep one too and Holm looks in trouble. She turns into it though, and gets out. They remained clinched against the cage here with Viera’s back against the fence. They trade a couple of short strikes, knees from Vieira and short punches from Holm. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Vieira.
Round 3 – Vieira opens the round with a nice two-punch combination. Holm lands an outside leg kick. Vieira responds with one of her own. Holm blitzes with strikes and Vieira counters nicely. A head kick just misses for Vieira. Holm clinches and puts Vieira’s back against the cage again. After fighting for position, they separate and return to the center. Holm slaps with an outside leg kick followed by a side kick to the body. Vieira feints and Holm blitzes forward with a punching combination. A front kick lands to the body for Holm. Vieira answers with a nice right hand. Holm charges forward with strikes again, this time clinching at the end. Vieira lands a few nice knees to the body in this position against the cage. Holm keeps her pressed against the cage and looks for short punches to the head. Vieira lands a few more knees and Holm more punches. They separate and Vieira lands a nice right hand on the exit. Vieira keeps the pressure high and lands a hard right hand that may have hurt Holm. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Vieira.
Round 4 – Holm leads the action to start the round with punches and an outside leg kick. Vieira looks for a right hand but Holm lands a side kick to push her out of range. A moment later though, the right hand finds the mark. Holm lands another side kick to the body. A front kick upstairs lands for Holm, although it wasn’t powerful. Holm charges forward with punches but Vieira is ready to counter with strikes of her own. A nice combination lands for Vieira. Holm misses with a question mark kick. A side kick to the body knocks Vieira off her feet. As Vieira stands up, Holm offers a head kick, but Vieira gets her hands up in time to block it. Vieira finds home for the right hand again a moment later. Holm clinches, but this time Vieira is quick to separate and keep the fight in the center. Another right hand lands for Vieira. A side kick from Holm is met by a Vieira right hand. A hard exchange soon follows with Vieira getting the better of it. Holm doubles up on kicks to the body. They trade punches again after Holm blitzes forward. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Holm.
Round 5 – They embrace in the center of the cage before getting back to the fight. A hard exchange of punches starts it off. Vieira scores with a nice punch to get Holm’s attention. A spinning elbow lands flush for Vieira, but Holm eats it. Vieira keeps pressing forward and Holm clinches. Vieira lands a right but Holm charges in and gets both underhooks. Vieira is able to separate though. Holm lands a nice front kick to the face. A second front kick is offered from Holm but doesn’t land. Vieira lands another clean punch and Holm pushes her away with a side kick to the body. Vieira keeps moving forward, but Holm grabs her and puts her against the cage again. They break free and Holm offers a kick to the body. Holm looks for another takedown but doesn’t get it. Vieira looks for one of her own a moment later, but can’t get it either. Holm is able to reverse the clinch position and keep Vieira pressed against the cage, landing a few short punches until the horn sounds. MMA Junkie scores the final round 10-9 for Holm, giving her the fight 48-47.
