0826 – Norton Road, Norton, Malton – A Malton crew extinguished a fire in the cab of a van caused by a likely battery fault. Breathing apparatus and a hose reel was used.

0830 – Moor Road, Wykeham Forest – The Scarborough crews attended a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a car into a hedge.  Crews made the scene safe and liaised with police on the scene.

1118 – Acomb, York – The Acomb crew released a toddler after his leg became trapped in a stair gate. Crew-power was used.

1259 – Layerthorpe, York – Two small children were accidentally locked inside a car, the York crew used small tools to gain access to the car to release them.

1440 – Alne, nr Easingwold – Large barn fire. Incident still in progress. Currently 4 fire appliances and a water bowser in attendance with crews from Huntington, Acomb, Easingwold and Boroughbridge. Bales of straw and farm machinery also involved in fire.

1454 – Skipton – Single vehicle road traffic collision attended by the Skipton crews. 1 female rescued from the car, which had ended up on its’ side, she was uninjured but suffering from shock. Small tools and stabilisation kit used.

1547 – Newland, nr Drax – A Selby crew attended a fire in a garden, the fire was out on arrival of crews. The area was inspected and advice given.

In addition to the incidents above we attended automatic fire alarm calls in Harrogate, Arkendale, Scarborough, York and Cross Hills.  All were false alarms.
