Summer is in full swing, and so is the Round Rock Express season. Have you been a regular at Dell Diamond since the season opener? Is catching a game still on your summer bucket list? Either way, you won’t want to miss what the team has in store throughout the rest of July.
From post-game fireworks and concerts (included in your ticket price) to celebrity appearances and bobblehead giveaways, Round Rock Express games are fun for the whole family.
1. Return of the Round Rock Chupacabras
Friday, July 22, at 7:05 p.m. vs. Las Vegas Aviators (Oakland Athletics)
The Round Rock Chupacabras are back as part of the Copa de la Diversión, or “Fun Cup.” This series of events throughout the season embraces the culture and values of local Hispanic and Latino communities. On July 22, the Express will take the field as the Round Rock Chupacabras to celebrate this Minor League Baseball series.
Plus, this game is another Friday Fireworks, with a Selena-themed show. Don’t miss the fun!
Saturday, July 23, at 6:05 p.m. vs. Las Vegas Aviators (Oakland Athletics)
Break out your neon and acid-washed denim and get ready for, like, a totally awesome night on the field after the game. The Spazmatics will cover all your favorite 80s classics, so stick around for the show.
Thursday, July 28, at 7:05 p.m. vs. Sacramento River Cats (San Francisco Giants)
Thirsty Thursday and the chance to bring your best friend to watch America’s favorite pastime? This is the way to kick off the weekend.
All season long, Thursday home games are for pups and pints at Dell Diamond. Enjoy a cold pint and catch a game with your pup. Each game features weekly deals on both domestic and craft brews. There are a few rules for you and your pup to follow, and be sure to fill out the Express Dog Waiver ahead of time. Check in at the table outside the Right Field Gate (the only VIP “very important pup” entrance). Water will be provided on the concourse and general admission outfield lawn – and while dogs are welcome in the air-conditioned Bullpen Bar, they aren’t permitted in the seating bowl.
4. Pretzel Night with Stanley of “The Office”
Friday, July 29, at 7:05 p.m. vs. Sacramento River Cats (San Francisco Giants)
Love binge-watching reruns of “The Office?” This night at the ballpark is for you — don’t miss Pretzel Night with Leslie David Baker (aka Stanley), presented by H-E-B. Yes, there will be pretzels, but even more exciting is that Baker will be available for a VIP experience.
For an additional $50 per participant, be part of a question-and-answer session with Baker, and get his autograph. You’ll also get a photo opportunity with “Stanley” and, of course, a soft pretzel. The VIP experience will be from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., but quantities are limited. More details will be shared via email after purchase.
Can’t make it to the VIP session? Baker will also have appearances throughout the game. And this game is part of the Friday Fireworks series, presented by Bud Light. This fireworks show will be workplace-themed!
Saturday, July 30, at 7:05 p.m. vs. Sacramento River Cats (San Francisco Giants)
Get to the game early this night for your chance at one of 2,000 Nolan Ryan bobbleheads. Ryan, one of the Round Rock Express owners, was known as the “Ryan Express.” The Baseball Hall of Famer’s nickname is how the team came to be known as the “Express.”
As the Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, Round Rock Express is part of the Pacific Coast League. Get tickets for one game or the whole season, and learn more about this hometown team at RRExpress.com.
