Redford is the Pet of the Week for PAHS
FROM PRATTVILLE AUTAUGA HUMANE SHELTER
Redford is a 2-year-old male Husky mix who has already been neutered. He was brought in by county animal control as a stray; and he was not reclaimed by his owner. He has been adopted and returned due to his activity level. Redford has a medium length coat that is red (hence the name Redford) and white. He is a very handsome guy.
We love his pointed ears and stylish white markings! Redford weighs 50 pounds so he is considered to be a medium sized adult dog. He is a typical Husky in personality–ACTIVE, playful, and curious about everything. Redford would need a securely fenced yard since he is probably an escape artist like most Huskies. This is a strong dog and Redford needs work on his leash training.
He would enjoy life best with an active family and an experienced owner who would include him in all their outdoor adventures. Redford would be just great with older children and medium to large sized dogs. He does NOT need to be in a home with cats, small dogs, or young children. Redford’s activity level would be too much for small dogs or young children. The staff sum up Redford by saying “he’s a cool dog.”.
He is a really great dog who will make some adopter a wonderful new friend and family member. Please come check Redford out–you won’t be disappointed.
Our adoption fee is $120 for dogs and $50 for cats. This fee covers a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville. Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm. We are closed the last Thursday of the month for staff training. Adoptions are currently by appointment only.
